WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Comfortable clothing, sunglasses and sun cream if it’s going to be nice. Trainers or similar footwear. Gloves are a good idea. Bring a waterproof/windproof jacket if its looking a bit chilly. We provide cycle helmets.
HOW DO I BOOK?

We will get straight back to you to confirm your requirements, have a chat and then take payment.
A TYPICAL TOUR DAY
We would ask you to arrive at Katrine Wheelz at Trossachs Pier, 10 miles North of Callander FK17 8HZ
We will undertake a pre-tour brief, and pick up your electric bikes. We will fit everyone to their bikes and explain how the pedal assist works. Then you’ll have a few minutes to have a practice ride and get used to the bike.
Then we’ll aim to leave on the ride by around 1030. We should be back at Katrine Wheelz mid afternoon (depending on the tour).
Remember our tours are leisurely, with plenty of stops at cafes or to take pictures, there’s no rush!
WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF GUESTS ON TOUR?
We require a minimum of two people to run the tours. We normally have a maximum for four guests per tour, however if you are a bigger group with enough notice we can organise additional bikes up to a maximum of six.
If the group is bigger than six, we can split into smaller groups and bring two guides)
CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?
Sorry no. Due to UK legal restrictions, only children over the age of 14 are permitted to ride electric bicycles.
DO I HAVE TO PEDAL?
Yes e-bikes only assist you when the pedals are turning. You still do some work but the electric assist makes the hills far more enjoyable!
What if my group has a mix of experience/fitness, can I keep up?
Our electric bikes have 4 power settings, so you can adjust the level of assistance provided, so everyone can go at the same pace.
Its great fun and you’ll be surprised how easy the hills are on an ebike.
DO YOU RUN TOURS IN ALL WEATHER?
It has been known to rain in the Trossachs! So yes we still run tours in the rain. Sometimes the weather changes quite quickly, so wet start can easily turn into a lovely sunny day (or vice versa)
If the weather is forecast to be especially bad, we will either not schedule a tour for that day or cancel with as much notice as possible/ offer you to a different tour.
Whether a tour goes ahead is down to the discretion of the tour guide.
WHERE DO THE TOURS START?
We are based at Katrine Wheelz at Trossachs Pier (Loch Katrine) 10 miles north of Callander. There is ample car parking.
I’m afraid there is no public transport to the tour meeting point, however, we could pick you up from Callander and take you to the tour starting point
DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE TOURS OR A BESPOKE RIDE?
Yes, we can offer private guided tours to individuals, couples or groups. This could either be on one of our standard routes or adjusted to include any places that you’d like to visit.
Just get in touch via the contact form on the website with your requirements and we can put together a suitable package.
IF YOU DECIDE CANCEL?Within 7 days of the tour we will charge a £10 admin fee. Within 24 hours we regret we cannot offer a refund, but we will try our best to move your booking to another suitable date.
CANCELLATION BY US
While every attempt is made to ensure that all tours run as scheduled, we reserve the right to cancel or amend before or on the day of the activity, especially in the event of severe weather or other unforeseen events. In these circumstances customers who have made payments will be offered either a full refund or another booking on a different date. Unfortunately, in these circumstances we cannot compensate for the cost of travel or accommodation in connection with the activity you have booked through us.
